Shot List

I've made a shot list in order to keep track of the type and content of the shots we used in the trailer. However because of our limitations to timing, settings and locations we were unable film all of the shots we planned.

Editing

I have started to put together some footage that we have. I used Final Cut Pro to edit the footage and I managed to get quite a lot done. Also, seeing the footage on a bigger screen has meant that I was able to see what we can keep and what needs re-filming. I have noticed that one of the shots needs to be done again as it needs to make more sense and at the moment in the conversation between the two actors the eye lines don't quite match. Whilst I worked on the editing Jermaine and Satchelle had a look at Soundtrack Pro to see if they can find any siren sounds for the trailer to make it more dramatic and tense.

Central London 2

Yesterday I finished at 10:30am so instead of going home I decided to take a camera out and go film some nice shots in Central London to edit it into the trailer. I managed to do a lot of amazing long shots and a close up of Big Ben as I thought we could fade it into the briefcase exchange scene. I am really proud of my footage as I have made a great progress in my coursework group to keep our filming on track and up to date. On the above picture is an establishing long shot that I took, this is the kind of establishing shots I want to have in the trailer so that it will look a lot more attractive to the viewers. This establishing shot is very detailed and it captures two main attractions of London which establishes the setting straight away. The sky is very beautiful and the way it is captured, it seems as if it's an early morning which is the exact look I was going for. The sun doesn't get directly into the shot which is good because it makes the lighting more realistic and similar to the rest of the trailer where the lighting is a bit dull but also has the same kind of effect.

Central London Filming Update

Today we went to Central London to film the romantic scenes for our trailer. Satchelle and I have met Jermaine at London Bridge and filmed some traffic and a scene of Satchelle and Jermaine walking together. Afterwards we went to Waterloo and I filmed and directed a couple of scenes where they dance together, laugh, walk and hug. These shots were a bit hard to get since there were a lot of people in Central London and we had to make sure that they didn't get in the way of the camera or even more importantly look at the camera whilst they walk past. On our way to Waterloo I also managed to film Satchelle and Jermaine on the bus whilst they laugh and hug. Jermaine and Satchelle helped by taking some panning shots of Big Ben and the London Eye so we can put it somewhere in the trailer.
