Final Poster

I have made some changes to the poster because from the feedback I got I realised that the previous version looked a bit like the person in the center had pigtails because the two characters behind her were too close to her ears. Because of this I decided to change the positions of the two characters in the background and I chose to place them both with their heads in the bubbles on the opposite sides as it makes it look much better. The positioning also is significant to the roles they play as the boss of the boy in the trailer is placed higher up than him which emphasizes her authority.

Website Progress

I edited the website to make it a bit more appealing. I changed the synopsis and chose to give just a general idea about the film to the audience so that it would keep them in suspense and might make them want to go to see it. I have also changed the fonts to make it a bit more simple and not too fancy. I made the font of the title the same as it is in the trailer and the poster so that it would have some similarities between the trailer and the ancillary texts so that the audience see the connection. Furthermore I added some pictures from when we were filming the trailer to the gallery on the website so that the audience can see those in addition to the trailer and poster.

Poster

This is my poster for the film, that I have created in Adobe Photoshop

Poster Progress

I have made a poster for the trailer using Photoshop. This above poster perfectly establishes the most important character as she is in the front. Behind her are two characters which clearly shows that they are the big secret that is kept from her. The girl at the front (Satchelle) has her  finger over her lip which compliments the main focus of the trailer which is secrets they keep and the title 'SECRECY'.

Official Website

This is a rough edit of the website for our trailer. On there you can find the behind the scene photos showing our progress. As a theme soundtrack for the website we have chosen the track from the trailer as it would make the audience remember the trailer and influence their decision about attending a viewing of the whole film.

Editing Progress

I am nearly finished editing and have made some great progress and so far the trailer looks quite good.

Audience Research

BBFC (British Board of Film Classification)

I have used the BBFC website to find out what would be the most suitable rating for my trailer. I found that in 15 certificate films there is allowed to be strong violence, strong language, discrimination, drugs, sexual references as well as sexual activity. Although some of these have a limit as to how much of it is allowed in the film. Films containing use of drugs can only classify for a 15 certificate if the drug use isn't promoted or encouraged in any way and has to be justified by the context of the film.

I have also looked at 12A rating as it's how The Fault In Our Stars was rated. I found that in 12A or 12 rated films there is allowed to be some minor use of strong language, sexual references or violence as long as it's used in the right manner and isn't showed that much in the film. However a film which contains some form of discrimination is unlikely to be passed as 12 or 12A. Considering the content of my film trailer I think that this rating is slightly too low as we have some stereotypical choice in characters which might be considered as discrimination. Looking at all the information I researched I think that 15 rating is the best one for my product. However the content of my trailer isn't actually that intense therefore the trailer might be seen by younger viewers which might also attract some wider audiences.
